@metal-brainsaid Vaccinated breakthrough cases are counted differently than the unvaccinated. You need to count all breakthrough cases to compare them to the unvaccinated. Those infections are all counted, not just hospitalizations and deaths.
"As of May 1, 2021, CDC transitioned from monitoring all reported vaccine breakthrough cases to focus on identifying and investigating only hospitalized or fatal cases due to any cause. This shift will help maximize the quality of the data collected on cases of greatest clinical and public health importance."
Maximize the quality of the data? LOL! Ridiculous!
No, it is to hide the true number of breakthrough cases to fool you into thinking the vaccines are more effective than they are.

You idiot the whole point of vaccination is to reduce hospitalisations and deaths.
Why bother counting the cases where the vaccine is doing EXACTLY what it’s supposed to do and they are acting honestly and responsibly by monitoring the cases of vaccinated being hospitalised. It will give information on the effectiveness of the vaccines and detect any variants that might be avoiding the vaccines.
Anti vaxxers are a heady mix of stoopid, dishonest and nasty.

How many hospitalizations and deaths are there?
My brother took the gene vaccine and he is slowly dying. He is in the hospital right now. Is that what the gene vaccines are supposed to do?

No obviously not and I hope your brother recovers from whatever is ailing him but I don’t need ever more interpretations of the data. The UK is really well vaccinated and whilst the cases of transmission are still high the amount of deaths and severe illness are way down. There is only one interpretation possible for that scenario, Vaccination increases your chance of survival vis a vis non Vaccination. There are always risks, our job as individuals is to evaluate them and make a decision based on observable facts not opinions and I’ll be taking the booster jag when I’m offered it.

As of August 15, 2021, 68% of COVID patients admitted to hospital in the U.K. who were over the age of 50 had received one or two doses of COVID injections.
"Vaccinated New Yorkers make up just 4% of COVID-19 infections so far this year, according to data provided by the New York State Department of Health. Unvaccinated people were 21 times as likely to be infected or hospitalized statewide. The trends offer another strong indication that the vaccines saved tens of thousands of people this year from severe disease.
Of the nearly 1.3 million COVID infections recorded in New York between January 1st and September 5th, just 58,030 involved breakthrough infections, where the virus thwarts a person’s vaccine-backed immunity. The state health department recorded 4,585 hospitalizations among fully vaccinated people, while unvaccinated residents accounted for 97,244 emergency visits.
This breakdown would mean, so far this year, the shots reduced the chances of being infected or hospitalized by 95%, which is in line with the vaccine effectiveness measured in clinical trials. Just over 11.9 million New Yorkers were fully vaccinated through September 5th, meaning breakthrough infections happened statewide to 0.04% of people with all their shots."

Did the New York State Department of Health count all breakthrough cases or only hospitalizations and deaths like the CDC does? If they are using CDC data you know it is corrupted data. The CDC does not count all breakthrough infections and you know it.
Another study from New York limited to May 3 to July 25th, shows that the unvaccinated had more than 8 times the rate of new COVID cases as the vaccinated. https://health.ny.gov/press/releases/2021/docs/cdc_mmwr_vol70.pdf

"† New cases were defined as a new positive SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid amplification test or antigen test result, not within 90 days of a previous positive result, reported to the Electronic Clinical Laboratory Reporting System, which collects all reportable COVID-19 test results in New York."
