Sorry, but I can take Baron-Cohen only in small doses; a full-length film I find excruciating.

"Life of Brian" was far and away the best thing Monty Python did. It had a coherent story, unlike the rest of their stuff, which consisted of juxtaposed sketches. "Holy Grail" was groping in that direction, but "LoB" capped it.

An old one, from 1988, but 'Dirty Rotten Scoundrels' was really funny, especially the end scenes. Steve Martin, Michael Caine, Glen Headly did an great job in this flik, I thought, anyway.

Here's one that seemingly almost no one's ever seen.

Roxanne (1987) (Steve Martin, Daryl Hannah) A modern retelling of Cyrano de Bergerac.

I love this movie so much, I must've seen it well over a dozen times. (Yeah, yeah, I know.)
