Those from the East Coast

...have a hard time accepting the fact there are other states on the west coast besides California. In addition they frequently-

- Mispronounce Oregon. It's pronounced Oregun
- Need to learn how to pronounce Nevada
- Are unsure if those in the Washington State are still fighting Indians
- Think Seattle is a suburb of northern California
- Frequently ask those in Washington and Oregon how the roads are (we tell them we only have deer paths and logging trails)
- Always ask those from Seattle if it rains a lot (it really doesn't, but we tell everyone that so they won't move here!)
- Think anything west of Philadelphia is "the wilderness"
- Are convinced there is a Arizona town called East Lizard
- Often wonder when Alaska and Hawaii will become states
- Frequently worry that west coast airports other than LAX won't be big enough to land jet airplanes.

Actually when I did my Courses on chemcial saftey the instructor told us that it would be impossible to establish a filling station Network today. In German Chemikaliengesetz (law on the handling of chemicals) there is an explicit exception for handling of gas.

You're correct! Putting people to work at wage earning jobs rather than funneling billions of our tax $$ a year to oil companies in the form of subsidies, grants and other corporate welfare is just plain unAmerican. What are those crazy Liberals in Oregon thinking?! 😵
