    I was guessing Vivaldi and I was right. And YOU are absolutely right, she is a joy to watch and listen, just memorizing the notes must have been a chore! I wonder what the total note count clocked in at?

    The recorder is the perfect instrument for this.

    It's basically a hollow piece of wood with holes in it, so notes can be sounded as fast as you can move your fingers, unlike, say, a flute which requires one to push down a key with a pad on it, which may or may not be made to push down another key. All the extra hardware brings a slight delay in how fast you can produce notes. Recorders don't suffer from this 'overhead'.
