I want you to know, I cheat. Well, while I'm playing the openings, I refer to my 1970's (and earlier) chess opening reference books. They are "Batsford" books, mostly, with yellowed pages and musty odours.
So, if you play a line that's been analysed at least 40/50 years ago and is published in one of my old books then I'll be playing that line with you. If you want to 'cheat' back at me, play a line that will end in your favour and use a newer book with further analysis. That way we'll both learn something.
Also, whenever I can, I opt to play black. This is intended to give you the illusion that you have an advantage and hopefully encourage you to not try quite so hard.
