@kewpiesaid A break from the kkkkardashians perhaps.
I watch them occasionally. They’re a curious species 😵💫
I love the way they display those huge glass sweet jars full of marshmallows and sometimes lick one as they’re having a deep and meaningful conversation upon needing another break and family holiday in Switzerland 😥
@divegeestersaid Dear me, will those two ever give it a rest.
Just a pair of privileged brats. Nothing is ever quite enough for them.
Since their ‘bleating’ the Duke has died, the Queen has died, King Charles got diagnosed with cancer and now it’s Catherine.
@moonbussaid Lemme get this straight: the staff are there only to stock the shelves and take inventory (although Elon Musk is probably working on an AI replacement for that too), while customers do the work at checkout and pay the same price for smaller packages ("shrinkflation" -- my nomination for word of the year 2024). So, this is what Insainsbury's has become? Only because customers ...[text shortened]... e Tesco is no better.
As shav would almost say, there's something retarded going on there.
I only go there because of their good organic veg range. When the store was being built I’d expected lots of opportunities for a short term job for my son and couldn’t understand why there weren’t any?
What the store has done is reduce the crowds in Tesco & Aldi at the weekends and also created an increased water drainage flow into our local river increasing the potential for flooding and removing part of a wildlife area.
@moonbussaid Whatever happened to teenagers loading the bags for customers? It was a great part-time job for youths and so helpful, especially for elderly customers.
There’s a new Sainsbury opened near me where there isn’t a single human manned checkout. It’s all self serve.
@great-big-steessaid Although a very shy introvert I do, on occasion, say hi to the person in front of me at a checkout. Oh hang on I mean I say, “come on, get a move on, unlike you I have things needing done”.😲
I find that hard to believe, I bet you could talk the hind legs off a donkey.
@kewpiesaid My local supermarket does that already. They're very good at keeping the line moving too.
It’s a great idea. Supermarkets can sadly be the only place that some people ever get to have a bit of a chat with someone so a slowish lane is great for them.
Another thing is that some checkouts, Aldi being one, push you into putting your shopping into your trolley at such a speed it can make you feel stressed.
