This resolution is much more a political bone of contention between lobbying by
Turkey vs Armenian Americans than an attempt to examine historical facts objectively.
The US Congress (most members seem historically ignorant) does not get into the
business of making proclamations about distant history unless it's politically expedient.

As far as I can recall, there's s ...[text shortened]... of these historians disagree
(perhaps being motivated in part by favors from Turkey's government).
    "Mass violence"?
That minimization sounds more like burning buildings and broken windows; not ethnic cleansing.

Duchess64 reveals a bias that any properly trained historian would know how to disguise.

When speaking of the atrocity committed by the United States' military in the Philippines; Duchess64 referred to that unjust murder of thousands of Filipinos as genocide.

Presumably, in the Duchess64 universe, a million murdered Christians merit a lesser label.

I presume this is Dutchess’s favourite movie?

I mean, ignore the space special effects, but it must surely be the coolest film ever made with blatant sexism and attrocious racism still sounding cool.

    I love it!
Besides that, Nancy Sinatra just NAILS the theme song.

If Galileo had not dared to "upset the faith of some", we would still believe the Earth to be an immovable pancake at the center of the universe.
I believe some in this forum still harbor such a belief; while others find themselves wishing it were true.

You say deregulation like you think that's a good thing.

Oh yeah, and pulling out of the Iran deal was a big fat green light to them to develop nuclear weapons. What a genius.

And about half of your list is stupid stuff that I opposed when he did it.
Rebutting some of these posts has become a guilty pleasure.

Politicians and diapers have one thing in common.
    - They should both be changed regularly… and for the same reason.

    - When asked if they would have sex with Donald Trump; 86% of prostitutes in New York City said..."Not again."

Did you hear about Stormy Daniels becoming a Democrat?

The NATO "Class Photo" was rather revealing.
Trump looked like a bum in an ill-fitted suit.
The man may be wealthy (though debatable), but he has no class.

    What an embarrassment!

nah...the trick will be convincing 2/3 of the senate ...good luck with that 😂
If Republicans aren't careful, they could be missing about 70 Senate seats by year 2028. They're behaving very shortsightedly.

Future Republicans, if the party survives, will condemn this foul crop.

The key words in your post are "making it clear", which should read "providing concrete proof" if you want your "luck" to happen.
Conservatives will continue to scream that there's no elephant in the room as long they can.

In the end, the trick will be convincing over 50% of the populace that the large sinking depression in the middle of the floor isn't because of the elephant.

    Good luck with that.

I like the seahawks a lot. I think Wilson's the best football player and the whole team has a winning mentality.

The Saints were my tip before the season and I'm going to stick with the Saints but my head tells me the Seahawks will play either the Ravens or Chiefs in the superbowl.
    ABTR!
    Anybody but the Ravens!

A 49ers vs. Chiefs Superbowl is interesting.

1st...An “inquiry” does not have a legal basis to demand anything.

2nd...no legal statute protects a criminal from being investigated simply because they seek the office of the president.
Why is it so easy for conservatives to forget that they did the same, if not worse, to Bill Clinton?

They appear to have a selective memory for precedents.

You can't take it. You're the one with a rampant history of requesting censorship. How very trumpian of you to blame others for your own shortcomings.

From where I stand, you're looking rather cowardly and hypocritical.

One might also ponder how many Hindu professors would be allowed to teach in Lahore or Islamabad.

It's a sad state of affairs to be sure. But, these bilateral hatreds are centuries old and not prone to change anytime soon.

    Oh bollocks.
    Europe’s 300+ year expansion is a fact.
Or are you denying the French, British, Dutch, Spanish and Portugese empires?
Are you remotely suggesting European languages aren’t the most widely spoken (not the most spoken, but the most widely spoken... before you get your knickers in a twist)?

Are you denying the enlightenment, the industrial revolution, Europe ...[text shortened]... n drama that fukking country is.

Now, stick to the topic before you embarrass yourself even more.

Uhhhmmm...are you saying that the topic of this thread is NOT rape, racism or Sino-Russo hegemony? Imagine that!
