Oh God I saw another tattoo live at a gas station today, that is my last visit to a gas station. I must be the last of a breed. I started to look up tattoos on internet but fear getting on a list of some sort. Living in a bubble is better!

Mob rule? No. We have plenty of checks and balances against that. What happened is the size of the House was capped in 1929 at 435 members. That meant the EC began to get more unrepresentative from that moment on as state populations grew at different rates. The EC should essentially mirror the popular vote, not go against it, which it would if we had expanded the House ...[text shortened]... d one thing to either the DOJ or the FBI. He ignores them completely - as a President should.
Spruce says that there would not be mob rule if we got rid of the EC. It is in writing, you may want to print it out.
He also says that Biden has not influenced in any way the weaponization of the DOJ and FBI. hahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Time for you to leave, man. Didn't you say you were taking a leave of absence?

Some of you may remember this flake from previous years, never heard of him. Watch the drama as he repairs to his batcave.

It's obvious the original poster is fooled into thinking Trump being elected would make things worse.
The sad part is when Biden got elected the wars started. The border invasion started. The retail theft got out of control. The list is endless.

Imagine thinking Trump is worse because of some mean tweets and racial talk. Big deal 🙄
Everyone knows It's much worse under Biden but we live in an age where people absolutely refuse to admit they were wrong.
Yes, a bit of trash talk and chasing women. Hate Trump? He had some biz deals that went bad, the college that used his name, etc, the Casinos, which automatically breed trouble, he may have had some business losses, but....BUT, most of them were winners. I have lost a few myself. But have won enough, like Trump did. There is no perfect businessman. Warren Buffet has made mistakes.
So that and his floundering ways do NOT take away what he could do for us. He is respected world wide (Short hitters may want to look up the definition) and is a mover and a shaker. Never sleeps, does not depend on people, like Biden does depend on people, such as Obama. They have chatted everyday since day one.
So, do you want 4 more years of Biden, or a refresh button? You will be richer with Trump, I promise. I know that I will be. Look at this way....will you be richer with Biden? Maybe the illegals will...but you definitely will not.

Calm down - it goes both ways. I have to protect your rights, too. So does the guy on the subway.

How? Not by taking a bullet for you. lol. By helping define what all our rights are (e.g. voting for reps) and by paying taxes to protect those rights.

If this were not the case, if I just had an obligation to behave myself, I could choose not to pay taxes - what need? ...[text shortened]... t. Most people just accept that being an adult member of society has obligations. End of discussion.
Not the end of the discussion by a longshot. You are slithering away. There is no way in the world that I am responsible for other people, with one exception, and that is to pay taxes. Since that has always been the case, your post is meaningless. It is always the same old same old with you liberals.
Spruce is not going to tell us what he meant, because he didn’t know what he meant. I think he is saying that we protect each other’s rights by paying taxes. I think I told my five-year-old that a few months ago during a little tutelage session. Stand up now. Where is your sunscreen. Will someone else jump in and settle this matter, since he will not. This is another typical post that I kid about saying winning, but I really do win this post. Slam dunk.

Of course not, heh. Oh brother.
I can’t believe Spruce said that. DOJ and FBI have not done bad things recently. Silly me, isn’t Now (more than recently) when they have weaponized themselves?!??

Fascism??? We live under a regime of bureaucratic rule Forcing people to buy EVs. Mocking us. We don't need to be told what we need to buy. Stoves, light bulbs, dishwashers.
Do you know that buying elec vehicles is consumer driven, and free mkt driven,... the administrationn does not understand this. Telling us what we can drive, what we can cook on. It is the work of congress to make laws, not the govt. Brushing off the squatter problem and the border problem are violations of democracy

Democracy can be lost in a lot of ways. Gerrymandering is a big way. Happened to my district this year. If you have to have districts, they should be drawn more or less at random, with a nod in the direction of 'minimal circumference.' Corrupt judges are another way. The electoral college is yet another. Voting restrictions. Misusing government power by pressuring a fore ...[text shortened]... g lost.

That last one - that's the biggee. That's actually treason. They've hung people for less.
Why don't you step up to the plate and admit to the weaponization of the DOJ and FBI by Biden and his administration? If you do not admit to that, then I can not admit to any of the other democracy problems that you list. An easy one is mob rule, which is what you mean when you suggest ending the Electoral College. Pure madness.
    So........weaponization?

We are all obligated to protect one another's rights equally.

In theory, we could have a system where, every time there is a crime, we form a posse and ride off after the bad guys. That gets a little hard to explain to your boss though, after the 4th or 5th time. But note that jury duty is exactly this concept.

So we have chosen a different way - arguably more effi ...[text shortened]... loyees.

My avatar: I won't be here that long. Then you can go back to freely yelling at sonhouse.
I am obligated to protect your rights!??!?!? I have a 'duty of care' to you? No, I don't. (lightweights on the forum think I am being personal, but you know that 'you' means other people besides me). Could be that guy over at table #3 in Starbucks. I have a duty to him? Could you PLEASE elaborate on that one.
Now, the rest of your post is a given, we all pay taxes for universal care and protection provided by those whom our representatives hire. Then, we go back to our day jobs.
I can't believe how bland your post is, it adds nothing. Except, please tell us about our obligations to protect the rights of a neighbor who lives down the street, or a guy that I see in a subway car.
You seem to be dancing around something here.

Edit: What do you mean by 'protect one another's rights 'EQUALLY"?

So you do not understand the significance of a potential POTUS declaring that he’s going to scrap the constitution?
Is you really this thick or are you merely this disingenuous?
Yeah, the 'significance' would be a bit weighty if he did any such thing. Who are you, Chicken Little? The sky is fallling? TrumpHouse and you?
Trump will not even imagine such a thing. It protects real Americans, which is his number one priority. Recall Biden actually SWORE to protect Americans ,and is instead protecting non-Americans. He himself is violating the Constitution, his oath, that you are referring to.
The state of confusion of you dependents is becoming a bit of a kerfuffle.

Did your maid have the day off?
Don’t have a regular made at that abode. And not supermarket,, was at the MET. Not much body art there, though, she sort of stood out, but I guess that is the point. When I stand out somewhere, I hope it is not about some (permanent) picture on my arm, but rather my congenial personality.

    You keep saying this...

'Small d' democracy means We The People voting to decide what happens; or voting for representatives* who vote on what happens instead of having leaders decide what happens.

*(yes, a republic - a distinction without much of a difference)

'Big d' Democracy is much more than that. 'Big D' Democracy encompasses 'small d' democracy (We the P ...[text shortened]... fferent branches of government; and checks and balances so that no one group gains too much control.
All good, and everyone knows it without question.
So what is the issue that Trump-house keeps raving about, losing democracy? Nothing would change, as we have voting, and we have the enumerated powers, and we have the constitution etc. etc. etc.
The only literal thing I believe that he has said is that Trump will get rid of the constitution. So is that what he means by ‘losing democracy’,?, Of course, we, would be losing democracy, if Trump discarded the constitution.
I do wish TrumpHouse would write a simple explanation of what he means when he says that all the time.
It is somewhat difficult to read through his emotion when he gets going.
