  • 1. Ng1f3 e6 2. g3 f5 3. Bf1g2 c6 4. O-O
I was trying to get my king out of the middle asap, so that I could attack black. It was clear at this point they were behind in development so I would be able to rush them rather effectively. I do believe I should have played d3 and then e4.
    • 4... h5 5. d3
Opening up my knight on b1 to d2 and allowing me to play e4.
      • 5... Bf8b4 6. Nf3e5
A nice little spot blocking black's e pawn (opening up e4 even more) and allowing the knight to eventually move to g6 where he'll fork the rook and Bishop.

Notice how Black's premature ...h5 created the weak square on g6. Black's trying to attack without any pieces backing it up.
      • 6... Ng8h6 7. Ne5g6
I think the timing for this move was appropriate. It's preventing from black from getting his king out of the middle and onto the king side. Which probably wasn't black's strongest option considering his pawn structure on that side of the board. This move is also attacking the rook on h8.
        • 7... Rh8g8
Saves his rook from nxrh8. There really wasn't any other option at this point.
          • 8. a3
Pushing back the bishop from b4. Opening up nd2.
            • 8... Qd8a5
Now white cannot play a3xBb4 because black threatens to reply with QxRa1 and QxNB1.
              • 9. Bc1g5
Setting up a king side assault, blocking a queen side castle.
                • 9... Bb4d6
                  Black preventing 10. Ne7, which threatens NxRg8, KxNg8.
                  • 10. e4
White is finally trying to get a pawn in the center. Also trying to break into black's pawn structure.
