A missed turn on the A17

  • 1. c4 Ng8f6 2. Nb1c3 e6 3. a3
As addressed in a previous game, this move is most likely too passive, and theory suggests Nf3 or e4 was better... but I just like to stop Bb4
    • 3... d5 4. cxd5 exd5 5. d4 c6 6. Ng1f3 h6 7. e3 Bc8g4 8. Bf1e2 Bg4xf3
First unbalance of the game, Black removes the defender of h2, at the cost of a Bishop
      • 9. Be2xf3 Bf8d6 10. O-O O-O 11. e4
? I thought at first this move was probably bad (further development would have been better) but I wanted to see
        • 11... dxe4 12. Nc3xe4 Nf6xe4 13. Bf3xe4
          Black can now win a pawn with 13... Bxh2 14. Kxh2 Qh4+ 15. Kg1 Qxe4
          • 13... Qd8c7
White had missed that tactic, but so did Black
            • 14. g3 Nb8d7 15. b4 Nd7f6 16. Be4c2 Rf8e8 17. Bc1b2 Nf6d5 18. Qd1d3 Nd5f6
"Easy!" my opponent messaged me... he wants to stop checks on h7
              • 19. d5
But due to the Knight being supported only by the g7 pawn, this check is still on... Black should play something like Be5
                • 19... cxd5
This move effectively loses the game
                  • 20. Bb2xf6 gxf6 21. Qd3h7 Kg8f8 22. Qh7xh6 Kf8e7 23. Rf1e1 Ke7d8
? Again Be5 was probably the best move... White could now win this game in a number of ways
                    • 24. Qh6xf6 Bd6e7 25. Qf6xf7
Leaves the Bishop on c2 hanging, but if Black takes...
